Children are our future and one of the most important investment that we can make is towards ensuring that the children in these far flung Himalayan villages get a chance in bettering their lives. Since the geographical terrain and difficult daily routine prevents these kids from having exposure to the outside world, we aim at bring a window to the outside world to them.
Books: Books are a Man's best Friend. They teach us, educate us and make us think & dream. We are in the process of setting up a library at our Orchard in Kothi. Kids are welcome to come and read and spend some time with the books. Books range from fiction to educational and cater to all the genres and ages.
Informal Teaching: Children along with adults are welcome to these informal teaching classes. No set curriculum or syllabus but we teach them general aspects and elementary basic education. With 2 trained and experienced teachers joining forces with us, we hold special classes during the vacations. During normal days there is a walk-in classroom every evening.
Computer Lab: We are in the process of setting up a basic computer lab, where these children can get to familiarise themselves with these modern tools that are now common in urban educational environment but still a luxury in these remote areas.
Personality Development: We conduct workshops in public speaking, personality development and group discussions. This is aimed at providing a platform for these kids to become better individuals besides imparting them training for various competitions and interviews.
We are looking for like minded individuals to help us in securing the future of the children. You can donate books, pencils and other stationary items or make a monetary contribution. A full receipt and statement of account for your donation shall be provided to you.
