Growing Our Community's Food

We have three orchards that offer different apple varieties. Apples vary in taste and texture depending upon the height they are grown at and the climate. 

We grow our own pesticide free crops that are endemic to our locale. The seeds are procured locally and are based on old traditional crops. We grow Peas, Kidney Beans, Pumpkins, Maize, Brinjals, Garlic and pulses.

Kesari Orchards promotes sustainable horticulture and agricultural practises that advocates minimum use of water and harmful chemicals and pesticides. We also provide informal education to the young village kids especially the girls. 

If you are not into agriculture or want to enjoy an adventure filled weekend, we offer basic home stay facilities and camp sites. The services offered vary from  site to site so please do check out the details of each site.

Q: What is Kesari Orchards all about?

A: Kesari Orchards is an attempt to grow organic fruits free from pesticides in an eco sustainable way.

Q: What are the important steps taken at the Kesari Orchards to improve eco sustainability?

A: We use bio organic fertilisers and natural insecticides and bio remedial measures to curb plant diseases on Two of our sites. These sites also depend upon natural precipitation and we do not draw ground water or use water supply for irrigation.
